The Great Music of the Hudson Valley series presents acoustic folk duo Ken and Julie: Singer/songwriter Ken DeAngelis and soprano Julie Ziavras at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House at Rock Tavern on Sunday, May 5, at 4 p.m.

The concert is a $20 donation. Refreshments will be served at intermission.

The husband and wife team will showcase their outstanding vocal harmonies, lyrical voices and tight musicianship accompanying themselves on acoustic guitars in a program featuring acoustic classics, traditional and international folk covers and Ken’s originals.

The duo has appeared in concert and folk venues throughout the northeastern U.S., Alaska and toured six cities in Nova Scotia.

Their music has been heard internationally, including Ellopia TV (Greece), National Public Radio, webcasts including The Art Music Coffeehouse and RelaxRadio (Australia) and was selected from artists throughout the world to be part of the compilation CD Protest Songs for A Better World.

Their CD, "The Dream," is a part of the Peace Autograph Project collection at the International Museum of Peace and Solidarity in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Ken and Julie are recipients of the New York State Council of the Arts Grants.
