Riverkeeper Sweep needs your help to keep local waterways clean

To the Editor:

Each year, thousands of volunteers gather throughout the Hudson River Estuary for the annual Riverkeeper Sweep. This year, on Saturday, May 4, communities will give back to their local waterways at 100-plus shoreline projects from Brooklyn to the Adirondacks.

Will you join us? We need your help:

• Volunteer at a local Sweep site! See the complete list of projects by submitting our volunteer interest form for updates on projects near you.

• Coordinate a Sweep project. Is there a park or shoreline near you in need of a cleanup, invasive species removal or other stewardship project? If so, email Jen and Nick at sweep@riverkeeper.org to find out how you can lead a Sweep project in your community.

• Become a Riverkeeper member. Sweep would not be possible without the support of thousands of Riverkeeper volunteers and members. Show your support for a trash-free Hudson by becoming a Riverkeeper member today.
