Jacqueline Skerrett, lifelong resident of Goshen, N.Y., dies at age 70

Jacqueline Skerrett, a lifelong resident of Goshen, N.Y., entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 29, 2018, with her loving family by her bedside at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y. She was 70.

Daughter of the late David and Margret Brown, she was born on Nov. 3, 1947, in Lancaster, Pa. She was a graduate of McCaskey High School and attended Franklin and Marshall College, where she met the love of her life, Charles. They were married for 44 wonderful years.

Jacqueline and Charles have three children, Michael, LaToya, and Tonya. Jacqueline was a stay-at-home mom for awhile then worked at ShopRite and later became a home health care aide. Jacqueline had a kind, loving heart and would help anyone in need. She loved her family and friends.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Charles, of Goshen; daughter, LaToya and her husband, Michael, of Goshen and Tonya of Middletown; son, Michael of Newburgh, N.Y.; five wonderful grandchildren, Tianna, Xavier, and Julian all of Goshen, and Bryce of Rhode Island and Cynthia of Newburgh; sisters, Louatha Lawson, Lorraine Ballentine, Gail Brown, Margery Jones, and Joyce Brown, all of Lancaster, Pa.; plus a whole bunch of nieces and nephews.

Jacqueline will be forever missed until we meet again.

She was predeceased by her sister Diane Brown.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, July 7, from noon to 2 p.m., with a funeral service at 2 p.m., at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, 72 West Main St. Middletown.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
