Dominick A. Morelli of Chester, N.Y., dies at age 75

Dominick A. Morelli, a longtime resident of Chestnut Ridge, N.Y., and a new resident of Chester, N.Y., died Monday, June 25, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 75.

A retired truck driver for 30 years, he moved to Chester 10 months ago.

Son of the late John and Angela Morelli, he was born Jan. 4, 1943, in Yonkers, N.Y.

He was a member of the Monroe and Chester Sportsman Club, The Rockland Rodders, and R.O.M.E.O.S.

Dominick had four loves in his life: his wife, Shirley, of 55 years; his family; racing cars; and the great outdoors. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Morelli of Chester; son, Dominick Morelli Jr. and wife, LoriAnn, of New Jersey; and daughter, Valerie Healey, and husband, John, of Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Sean and Christopher Healey, and Joseph and Anthony Morelli.

Memorial visitation and services will be held 1 to 3 p.m. on July 8 at the Flynn Funeral Home, 139 Stage Road, Monroe, N.Y. Cremation occurred at Oxford Hills Crematory in Chester.

Funeral arrangements and Cremation Care are under the supervision of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers.
