Jill Ann LaTassa of Chester, N.Y., dies at age 54

Jill Ann LaTassa of Chester, N.Y., a licensed nurse for 36 years and a 16-year area resident, died on June 20, 2018, at Schriever Pavilion in Warwick, N.Y. She was 54.

Daughter of Theodore and Barbara Nyberg, she was born on Sept. 10, 1963, in Rockland, N.Y.

She was truly the loveliest woman who devoted her life to helping others. She will be forever missed by our family, and those lucky enough to have known her compassion and respect of others. She enjoyed camping, her dog, and leaving sticky notes for her family.

She is survived by her husband Jason LaTassa; their children, Joseph, and Anastasia LaTassa of Chester; and her brother Andrew Nyberg and his wife, Susan McCurrac,h of Stony Point, N.Y.

Visitation was held June 25 at Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorials Centers, Monroe, N.Y.

A Funeral Service was held June 26 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Chester. Cremation followed at Oxford Hills Crematory, Chester.

Funeral arrangements were made by Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorial Centers.
