, N.Y. — Special events and entertainment are heating up these long cold winter months at Glenmere Brewing Company in Florida.

Craft beer lovers can indulge in eight beers on tap crafted with many seasonal locally grown ingredients. They can catch live musical performances by local singers and bands in a variety of genres, and try new beer varieties pairing a custom flight with a unique arts and crafts workshop.

The schedule is as follows:

Jewelry Making Workshop on Jan. 18, Feb. 15, and March 15, 6-8 p.m. Rachel Bertoni of Bertoni Gallery in Warwick will lead a lesson in accessorizing your jewelry with just the right beer. While designing a choice of a necklace, bracelet or anklet in your signature style, you'll enjoy a flight of Glenmere's hand-crafted beer or a pint to compliment your new trinkets. The $40 workshop includes materials and tools for making one necklace, bracelet or anklet; jewelry making instruction; one flight or one pint of beer.

Trivia Night at The Vinyl Room on Feb. 2. The Vinyl Record Shop (TVR in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) will be pouring samples of their craft beers as sponsors of TVR’s Trivia Night. TVR is a hybrid hangout boasting an eclectic mix of a taproom and wine bar serving locally produced wine and craft beer and a venue for lovers of nostalgia and music. Put on your thinking caps to answer carefully crafted trivia questions, slip on some headphones to listen to a few favorite billboard chart or b-side recordings in TVR’s 8,000+ vinyl collection, and try out GBC’s small batch craft beer.

Drink like a Viking with a pint of Nordic Farm, a traditional Norwegian farmhouse made with juniper branches that will chase winter’s chill away throughout January, February, and March. The crisp hop profile and strong floral nose of Dragonfly IPA will conjure up warm memories of summer outings relaxing lakeside with iridescent winged dragonflies fluttering in the breeze. Additionally, two new lagers will be introduced this winter delivering deep flavors and malty finishes to warm up beer lovers on cold winter nights especially when paired with winter stews, aged cheeses, hearty soups and even dense spiced carrot cake. Eight Glenmere beers are always on tap.

Local bands and singer/songwriters perform every weekend in January, February and March to enhance craft beer tastings. Guests are encouraged to make their visit a complete entertainment experience. Customers are allowed to bring in outside food and delivery service is available from surrounding Florida restaurants. Afternoon musical entertainment is Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Hours are subject to change.

Glenmere Brewing Co. produces small batch craft and one-off beers made with local hops and ingredients while staying true to the style of each beer. The brewery is located at 55 Maple Ave. in Florida. Winter hours are Thursday and Friday, 4-8 p.m.; Saturday noon-8 p.m. and Sunday noon-5 p.m.
