To the Editor:

Happy new year and thank you to all who came out to Illuminate Goshen's third annual ball drop to ring in 2018!

A special thank you to all our New Year's Eve Sponsors! We are so grateful to have the support of A Day in the Life Photos, A.J. Ross Digital Media, Legoland NY, Limoncello's, Margaret and James O’Donnell, Lanc and Tully, Northern Heating, John Olivero from Griffith Olivero, and Jeremy Zweig.

Thanks to our vendors: Catherine’s, Sweet Tymes, Fearless Cooking Company, and entertainment; Belle from Once Upon a Tea Party, Mad Science, W.K. Wilcox, Super Nova Balloons, DJ Rich from DJ Productions and The Hype!

Thank you to Mayor Kyle Roddey and the entire Village of Goshen staff, Village Police Department, Village Department of Public Works, Goshen Volunteer Ambulance Corps for braving the cold weather with us and for supporting and protecting all of us every day. We are lucky to have you!

Additional thanks to Dan Wright, Mike Nuzzolese, Dominick Igneri, and Ray Quattrini and Gerry Hluchan. Without their help, a lot of our events would not happen.

And thanks to County Executive Steve Neuhaus, the Orange County Sheriff's Office, TAM Enterprises, and Adamis Towing and Recovery for donating light towers for the event.

Illuminate Goshen is beginning its fourth year and we have enjoyed growing and expanding our reach beyond the original goal of stringing strands of lights across West Main Street and hosting the New Year's Eve Ball Drop.

We are proud to be involved in bringing our community together at so many family-friendly events right here in the Village of Goshen throughout the year. Illuminate Goshen hosts the annual New Year's Eve Ball Drop and the Summer Concert Series and co-hosts or plays a supporting role in the Goshen Art Walks, Spring Fling Concert, Fall Festival, Summer Festival, annual tree lighting, Keys of Goshen Piano Project, and the Painted Horses Project.

Illuminate Goshen partners with the Village of Goshen, the Goshen Chamber of Commerce, the Goshen Art League, Goshen Parks and Recreation, and is looking forward to seeing you at some of the events in 2018! Check out our Facebook page for information or email

Illuminate Goshen works under the Fiscal Sponsorship of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties. We are thankful to them for their continuing support of connecting people with causes that matter.

With thanks,

Molly O’Donnell
