Chester library has two new trustees

Tom McKnight, the new president of the Chester Public Library Board of Trustees, is flanked by new trustees Caren Riegelhaept, whose term ends December 2019, and Aurora Robson Coles, whose term ends December 2022. The Chester Town Board were unanimous in approving both new trustees. McKnight also asked the town board for a resolution regarding the library's use of the basement so that he can apply for grants for projects there. Supervisor Alex Jamieson said it might be better to give the library a lease for 25 years, and McKnight said he would have to find out if that would satisfy the grants requirements.
