Lecture addresses future of 'cash'

MIDDLETOWN - Is digital currency the future?
A free SUNY Orange lecture will address the topic next week.
"The Evolving World of Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Digital Wallets" is the title of the lecture by Crypto-Currency Educator Tony Maldonado.
The lecture is scheduled to be held at the Sandra and Alan Gerry Forum, room 010 in the Rowley Center for Science and Engineering on Tuesday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and will also be simulcast to Tower 307.
During the program, Maldonado will give background through a brief history of money, and then will explain digital currency, blockchain, digital wallets, and the future of payments in this fast growing industry.
His company, Global Coin, LLC Info., is dedicated to teaching the subject of digital or crypto-currency and its place in the financial future. This event is free and open to the public and is presented in collaboration with the SUNY Orange Computer Science & Technology Department.

The Rowley Center for Science and Engineering is located at10 East Conkling Ave., Middletown where free parking is available in college parking lots and the parking garage. The Tower Building is located at 1 Washington Center, Newburgh. However, the free, secure parking garage is entered nearby at 73 First Street.
